Hi Stevie
Thanks for your kind words! Were not exactly just ;packing it in', more a case of, moving on! We have bought a fantastic old house with a nice walled garden, lacking paddocks I grant you, but lovely none the less.
Keeping the pigs has been a great experience, and honestly one that I would do again, but only for home consumption of high quality pork. When i say i would do it again, i wont, simply becasue a one acre walled garden is never going to get trashed by pigs! My other half and fellow pig lover, would never allow that!
Its fair to say that we tried hard, no very hard to make it properly pay, and being honest we more than broke even.............BUT...........people have to be almost press ganged into buying the stuff, simply because most people do not eat as well as 'WE' do. Most people love incipid crap white supermarket advertised pork, not the real stuff.
We have a few things left, were not being greedy, and they will all help those setting up and help reduce their initial costs.
I love pigs, but the relief of not having to wander around in ice and snow, howling gales, etc etc etc is almost as great as seeing someone else clear off having purchased our boat a few years ago!

Some things in life are memorable, I will remember pigs for good. We have fun and great food, I fell in love with far too many of them and became a rare breed sanctuary almost. The people we met through breeding were all lovely, some local to us, some more distant. One things for sure however, we did it well.
Cheers all
Regards
Jason.
P.S. I have 8 x 8ft galvanised field gates and closers also, come on someone make me a sensible offer for three arks!
