really chuffed
« on: March 25, 2012, 10:33:59 pm »
I just candled the first batch of eggs from our Blue Swedish ducks and 12 out of 13 were fertile  ;D

We lost some of our best Blue Swedish to a fox attack last year so I'm really pleased that we will be getting some replacements if I manage to get the incubation right - please keep fingers crossed for me
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

My drake is a Swedish Blue (or so I was told when he was given to me as a replacement for their dog taking my old KC)  Could you post some photos of yours for me to compare as I need convincing of his parentage!  ;)
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
