.courier recommendation for Macclesfield to Preston
« on: March 06, 2012, 12:34:23 pm »
Not sure about going on these courier sites where they have to contact you with a price and you don't know anything about them.  Anyone know a good contact that could pick up a couple of ewes from near Macclesfield and drop them about an hour away at Preston end of this month - where we can pick them up?  I know its only an extra hour but there are other factors which come in to the logistics which is why we would need the courier.  Many thanks.
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs

By couple of ewes i take it you mean 'live' sheep?!
No courier service as such will take livestock (big laughs at TNT hub!! ::)) you need to look up livestock hauliers in your local yellow pages or ask at your local mart, your best alternative is to find a friendly farmer going that way and offer diesel and lamb chops!
Gave me a good laugh can just see the Fed Ex man putting big sticky labels on two ewes and them ending up going via Frankfurt teehee ;D ;D Oh stop my ribs are aching...........
