Hi Rosie posie and welcome from Staffordshire. We keep chickens and grow food. My latest hobby is hunting rats, which is a seasonal thing. Later in the year my hobby will be exterminating red mite!

Chris...I thought ratties were an all year thing? or do you mean they get worse........... :D One of the cats left a young rat on the doorstep yesterday, so they are breeeeeding!!

I am touching wood when I say that red mite hasn't really been a problem to us....but never say never eh?

Re the Smallholders meets, it is a fair trek from here, but I have been very tempted, just not yet been able on the specific dates I've heard of so far.

And another hello from Powys, Dolau just between Knighton and Llandrindod Wells , Arabian horses , goats pigs sheep and chickens dogs cats. all cost a bloody fortune and keep you poor.
