Hi Rosie posie and welcome from Staffordshire. We keep chickens and grow food. My latest hobby is hunting rats, which is a seasonal thing. Later in the year my hobby will be exterminating red mite!

Chris...I thought ratties were an all year thing? or do you mean they get worse........... One of the cats left a young rat on the doorstep yesterday, so they are breeeeeding!!

I am touching wood when I say that red mite hasn't really been a problem to us....but never say never eh?

Re the Smallholders meets, it is a fair trek from here, but I have been very tempted, just not yet been able on the specific dates I've heard of so far.
