Hi there
Now that the duck eggs are in the incubator (candling due tomorrow, very excited) I start preparing for the next step. I have got a brooder lamp, but now playing with the idea of getting an eco glow brooder. Can anyone give me any advice on these, how do they compare to ordinary brooder lamps, are they easier to use and how do they do on use of electricity
Any advice would be great, thanks in advance

Can't speak first hand but they will be a lot cheaper to run than the traditional heat lamp. I think they are ideal for small numbers of chicks say up to a dozen or so. I think Brinsea do a larger version too.

Any 'electric hen' will be far cheaper than heat lamps. Like 30 Watts compared to 200. Will get your money back in energy saving in the first two hatches. Can get them from £35 and you just raise them on their legs as the chicks grow and need less heat.
