Dydd gwyl dewi hapus
« on: March 01, 2012, 02:51:07 pm »
Happy St David's day to everyone.

I wish I was 7 again and dressing up in my Welsh hat with a half day off from school after a morning of eisteddfod ( singing, music , recitals etc). Instead I'm stuck in the office and my husband has banned welsh hats at home, he has agreed to leeks (in some form) for tea though in celebration. :)

And the same to you...............

.( does the british museum know your still using that laguage ? )
costs a fortune getting everything translated and printed twice , and uses twice as much rain forest to make the paper.......uses twice the oil to make the inks etc etc.

ooh, sorry!
I missed this & posted the same (but only in English! My "connection" is not Welsh, but that it is my dad's birthday & he is called David. We have a leek or daffodil related thing for him each year!)

Thanks for all the good wishes to us Welsh Folk. A nice warm and sunny day and homemade Welsh Cakes. All the local school children in their Welsh National costume, what a sight.

Happy St David's day.  My youngest was born on 17th March and people asked if I was calling him Patrick.  No, he was just 17 days late and is called David.  ;D

But how sad that the PC briggade have stopped St George being celebrated incase it upsets ethnic minorities, BUT WALES , SCOTLAND AND IRELAND CAN CELEBRATE THEIR ETHNICITY WITH PRIDE. but not PC to be English.
