the size of my pics from photobucket are massive here on TAS but on other sites i use they are as they have always been. anyone got any idea why this might be?

Can you post a URL of where they look okay please, and I can check the difference.

It's likely to be because we show images full size, and don't try to resize them down - the other sites you refer to may be restricting the size.

just talked to Sparkz on the other forum and the resizing is what is happening.

I for one don't mind big pics, especially if I don't have my "windows" on!

Believe it or not but resizing an image on a forum (not using a plain html markup bodge) requires some serverside functions. Some of which are not available if you dont own the server and cant install them.

Some forums automatically resize if you have the function available. some cant. some allow you to post external images where the poster will e responsible for the image size. Its a minefield.

It sounds like you are using external images embedded - the only way to get them smaller is to reduce the size inthe source at your end.

What does that do?
Its a free site (ignore all advert & things telling you've won stuff! And in your account, make your settings private)
where you very quickly and easily upload photos & videos straight from your computer (memory card, hard drive, cd etc)
You can crop, make adjustments etc easier (imho) than Windows
And copy & paste the code for either full size or thumbnail photos over to forums
