update on our move to Scotland
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:13:53 pm »

For all of you who have helped us and or shown interest in our move to Scotland, I thought i'd post an update.

We have moved into our new house which is far nicer than we had hoped so are very happy, the garden is a bit small and I won't be able to restart my chickens anytime soon but I can live with that.

By current estimate the view out of our front window of the Ochils is something i will never get tired of!!!

We are back in the midlands for the week for a family wedding and will take up our permanent residence in Scotland with the kids from this Saturday!!!

New place doesn't currently have interwebnet access but when it does i'll be back to annoy you all!!!

We are very happy with the new place and are looking forward to meeting many of the central Scotland members over the next few months, I may not be able to have a smallholding yet, so i'll have to live the life as a visitor and customer for the time being!!!

Congratulations! I'm really pleased it's working out - you're at about the same point as us trying to find a place of our own. If you're over on the west coast near Oban then give us a shout!

Glad to have been able to help, Dave, liked the house when I went round to see it for you. Lovely to meet you last week. Looking forward to meeting the rest of the Bloomers soon.

Congratulations on the move and if you get bored and fancy keeping your hand in with any smallholding jobs, you're more than welcome to visit my particular bit of Fife, it's only half an hour or so by car ;)

Actually I may be looking for smallholding sitters a few times during the summer if it comes to it ;D

thank you all

when we are back up there (starting saturday) i'll start trying to arrange to meet people as that would be nice and would help us with our exploration of the place as well.

Only a stones throw from you too!!!!!! the hills certainly are a draw, they also help keep the weather a bit more moderate BUT, remember, y our summer kit will get outdated before its worn out....all I wear out are my big jumpers and wellies!!!   THank goodness for hot flushes!!!  seeeeeee you sooooon
