Hi Guys, Bob's adventure went without any hitches he loaded super for me and followed me to his new pen the other end, 1 of his new girls was in season so he couldn't wait to get in with them. my OH and me had a jolly good cry and left him to it.  .  My big pregnant sow also found a good new home going to be a pet for a son on a farm in Taunton, so for a sad situation I am relieved that they are all going to be fine.

at 9 months old an outside kept boar will have no taint.

would a boar kept inside have more taint? if so why?

each boar will taint to a different level  at different ages 4 day old boar piglets will smell/taint  three people cant be wrong with there nose    some butchers will not entertain boar pigs    it is one these things like big cats or extra terrestrials   it is up to the individual

I'm a newbie and I've shed a few tears for Bob's potential demise. I'm glad to hear he's found a home. I'm going to have to get a change of attitude if we're going to keep any livestock, I can tell....
