perhaps we should start a survey/research study into catching ORF and whether you get cold sores. I thought it was odd that OH got it and I didn't
(probably just luck tho')

Maybe luck, maybe you did have it but didn't notice it and are now immune.  Maybe the reason mine was really quite bearable was because as a cold sore sufferer I had a degree of resistance already.

You're right, it would be interesting to do some research.

I should have thought to ask? should I have taken away the mineral lick as it will spreadvery quickly with a lick in the field !! but they need mineral this time of year !! its a bit late now bit what would you have done? taken away the mineral lick?

Personally no I wouldn't have taken the lick away. Once orf is there it'll stay in the ground or where ever and I think good feeding is important in helping them get over things quickly :thumbsup:

You'll clear orf up with alamycin spray. just spray it on the blisters and leave them quiet. Doesn't look like orf though, wrong time of year and it tends to develop more on the lips than up the face like that.
It's always worse for someone else, so get your moaning done before they start using up all the available symathy!

Im glad to report all cleared up in 4 weeks and all look really well, ive just started steaing them up 6 weeks till lambing
