First Lamb!!
« on: December 20, 2011, 07:16:55 pm »
Well, can you believe it - only just finished tupping and we have a LAMB!!!  :o   It must have been when the rams escaped and broke into the ewes field at the end of the summer - anyway we found it in the field we rent several miles away this morning.  It had only just been born.  So....back home for the trailer.  I can't believe that its not even Christmas yet and we have our first lamb. I've a feeling there might be another on the way having looked at the other ewes - I bet one will arrive on Christmas Day. ;)

Congrats! hope he's a good one. we are up to about 47 :sheep: Getting used to lack of sleep now not so grumpy, we've a load due up to Christmas Day then it tails off for a bit.
Pollytunnel has been a Godsend i know we would have had dead lambs if not for this. Keep your eyes peeled i'm sure your ram lambs would have tupped a few more!!!

47!!!! I take it this was planned!   :D

I think you were right Feldar, we have another looking likely to pop - for a little ewe she's huge!  Going to bring home today just in case she decides to lamb on Christmas Day.

Merry Christmas everyone!
