Missing Brittany Puppy
« on: December 17, 2011, 11:39:49 am »
If anyone is in the Norfolk area can they please look out for an 8month old orange and white Brittany pup called Remi - he went after a hare on Thursday and hasn't been seen since.  He must be terrified even though he knows the area.  Brittanys move fast and he may have gone quite a distance from where he was last seen - Colkirk nr. Fakenham NR21  He is also on dogslost http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=35330

Remi is a lovably rogue, and a typical Brittany, his training was coming on well, apart from chasing feather and fur.    His owners, Andy and Brenda, and his breeders, my friends, Alan and Patricia Rush, are just in bits so please look out for Remi and give them the best Christmas present they could ever have.

I just heard from Andy that Remi was sighted yesterday afternoon 18 miles from home, he went down but it was too dark to do much searching, then at first light this morning he sent his older dog into a field to do what she needed to do and Remi came running to her. Unbelievable how its turned out, Absolutely delighted for them.

Great that he is fine. I live about 4 miles from Pat Rush & used to work with her daughter Jess. Pat would know me with my late Bracco & my Springers. I last saw Pat when I was socialising my pups at the Suffolk Dog day.

Wow, what a small world.  I've known them since they came into Brittanys about a couple of years after me.(Although Pat had one in France when she was a child)  I must tell her!

Even after being found 18 miles from home, and the other side of a wide river,  this 8 month old pup wasn't over tired, or over thin, no broken nails, just one pad slightly cut - what does that suggest?  We reckon he was lifted and taken, then with all the high profile word on Facebook and numerous forums and websites he became too hot to handle and was dumped.

Her he is looking very relaxed three hours after being taken home.
