We have about 3 bags of almonds left over that where not sold, they have been shelled from thier (?) green parts but still had the very hard coating left on.
For years I have been looking around for peanut butter in the shops, but heyyy you cannot get it for love nor money.
Well I thought I have loads of almonds lets try it with them......
The longest time consumer is getting them out of that hard shell, about 3 cups full took me about 1/2 an hour.
then place them in a food multi chef with the blades on and spin chop for about 15 mins. alot of the time is scrapimng the side of the bowl with a plastic spatula, but when the almonds are well and truely chopped they are creamy, add salt to taste and then slap it on your bread and butter, If you want you can try putting olive/peanut or almond oil in to make extra creamy.
I think they taste better than the shop bought butter.
