Does anyone know where I can buy a couple of ouessant ewes/ewe lambs?  I'm in north Wales.  Will travel a reasonable distance, but not too far, say around 50 miles or so, or OH will have a fit at the cost of the fuel!! ;D

Hi Morri2

Try Lesley Wickham http://www.lesleywickham.co.uk/ as she is the only person in Wales that I know of! They are fairly rare...about 300 in the UK so you might have trouble finding some! I will have a few ewes for sale next year as I have 15 to lamb!
I have several colours too!

Hi Morri2,

I know a breeder in Cheshire who may have some, or there is James Graham who has a large flock on the Isle of Man, here's his website ]http://grahamsminiatures.co.uk/g/] .

Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Philip

You will need a small mortgage buying from James ;)

That's great! Thanks for the leads.

WoollyVal : How big a 'small' mortgage do you think I'll need to buy a sheep from James Graham in Cheshire?  He's definitely the nearest, but I don't want a shock at the price if I email or phone him.  Besides, my bank are a bit reluctant to give out any loans at the moment : ;D

Hi Morri2,

James isn't in Cheshire, he is on the Isle of Man, although he would probably know of someone a bit closer to you.
The breeder in Cheshire only has a few and I don't know what she would charge, pm me if you would like her details.

Thanks,
Philip :sheep:

Hi Phil!

Thanks for the posts.  Yes, if you could let me have the details of the Cheshire breeder that would be great.  I only want two ewes - Christmas pressies for my two sons.  Hoping it will encourage them to help me a bit with the sheep generally (I can hope!!)

Many thanks,
Caroline
