Felt and edibles
« on: November 23, 2011, 08:06:22 pm »
I haven't got a website and need to upload photos, but I make a range of felt items including cobweb scarves, handbags, slippers, pouches/containers of various sizes and various other wee things.

Also I have plenty jars of plum chutney and plum jam, some of which look decent enough to be given as gifts tho I'm not great at marketing and fancy labelling they're just plain jam covers ::)

I'll have to get sorted for next year - willow baskets with felt liners and a variety of preserves and conserves ;D

Oh and if anyone wants a pony for Christmas (and for life!)... I'd be happy to add a red ribbon or some tinsel ;)

Here are a couple of the scarves currently available - most have gone as quick as made ;)

White/turquoise merino fibre with silk top

Dark blue/peach merino fibre with silk top

Awww Annie! Its all I wanted as a girl too - I remember working at the local stables before school and then again straight after and all weekend, every weekend! If I recall correctly I was rewarded with just one free ride in 2 years of doing that - mucking out etc in the freezing cold, must have been dedicated!!

I missed an opportunity too - that annoys me more.  Late partner and I bought a 22 acres croft, did up cottage, he was made redundant, I had to keep working long hours.  he was afraid of horses, so I didn't feel I could have a horse then.  If I had land here I'd have one in a minute - one of Ellie's!  They are delightful!  And well mannered.

Thanks Deepinthewoods, glad they arrived safely and in time.

PP yes cobweb felted scarves.

The ones shown are all sold and away including several to board members, so thanks for the custom :)  I don't make that many and I'm nowhere near a commercial business so every one made a significant difference to the budget, much appreciated :)

Hi Ellie
Will be in touch soon, but just had a thought.  I got a Kindle from the family and the cover was made by my daughter's friend - padded with navy on inside and multicoloured wellie boot material on outside.  Could be done with felted material instead though.  Bet they'd sell well.

Thanks for the lovely feedback, glad they were appreciated :)  Probably time I started making more as I'm clean out right now..

Annie if you're coming to visit please bring the kindle and I'll check sizes, I have a couple of purse/spec holder/phone holder/laptop case/iPad case ideas but need measurements to make templates..
