sometimes with a x you get more vigour    with only 5 to feed there is no fighting for a nipple and your weights are good for the age as long as they continue with the growth :farmer:

Thanks robert.  That's pretty much what we thought.  She's had loads of milk, but whether she'd have twice as much if she had 10 piglets, (or three times for 15, gawd help us all!  :o) I don't yet know.

I'll keep track on their weights and keep you posted. It's good to know how what you're doing compares to a norm.  :)

I did say I would keep you posted - the boar weighed 50kgs at 16 weeks.

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

our lamb weigher goes up to  130 kilos and is a squeeze to get them in at that weight :farmer:
