Hi all,

As person who is a bit disolusioned with conventional poultry shows I have been toying with arranging an alternative.

I was thinking of an online version where we post a pic of our birds to enter them in catagories such as,

Best before and after

Prittiest pullet

Most handsom cockeril etc

What do you think?

Irish Fowl forum did this last year and it was great fun.

You will need to get some rules set up and OK it with the site owner, as the posting of pictures tends to eat up the band width a bit.
Traditional Utility Breed Hatching Eggs sent next day delivery. Pure bred Llyen Sheep.

There's an article about on-line poultry shows in this month's Smallholder magazine. Haven't read it yet though.

Can I join in too, please - should we maybe support a charity through Just Giving like before?

Hi Everyone,

it would seem that this is a popular idea but I must confess that Im not sure how best to do it. Dan and Rosemary would have to approve it though as it may have implications to the site.

I suppose we should do it early next year really when the ladies have all finished their moult,

We could have a different class each month from April to Aug perhaps?

Could someone who has a good idea of how to do this help us out here?

Dan was very helpful with the photo competition we held a few months ago for the earthquake victims in NZ and Japan.  Rosemary and Calum judged them, and we now have a calendar sporting the prizewinners.

Brilliant idea , how about we post our photos and forum members get to judge them on a points system , the monthly winner's photo gets made into a calendar for the following year and sold for MacMillan Nurses or Cancer research. ?

I'm all for it, you show me your's and I'll show you mine.!
