Pee problems

Hello folks, need advice on an 18 month old Toggy goat. We moved herd onto new pasture today. We had them in the field shelter, whilst we finished off the fencing. When we released them, we noticed that they were all really excited and feeding, apart from the Toggy, who was squating for a pee a lot, but not producing any pee, she was pooing fine and we did saw her drink. One side of her udder was full and quite pink, the other empty. We couldn't catch her to have a feel and not sure if this is related to her constant squatting. She dosent seem to be holding herself right either.
What are your thoughts? Could it be cystitis? Is this treatable with bicarbonate of soda, if so what dosage? Or is it a vet job?
Many thanks

Certainly could be cystitis. The bladder becomes inflammed and so feels full, making then want to pee, but of course they did that 2 minutes ago. The other possibility is a blockage but a lot less common especially in females. It will probably need antibiotics if it is cystitis.

Defo antibiotics.  Cystitis is more common in females expecially ones who have had assisted deliveries.  Has she kidded recently?

Yes a Vet job I'm afraid.   It can be very painful.

I've had it.  It is VERY painful and makes you feel poorly.  Didn't go to the vet though.   ;)

compared with our doctor, I think there would be more chance of a cure with the vet  ;D

Hello folks, just thought I'd give you an update. We got the vet out the following morning and it was mastitis which he thought might have got to her kidney's so she is a very poorly goat indeed.
Prior to this I was considering going down the organic route but this poor goat is now pumped full of everything going! I just want her better.

But she is on day two of treatment today and is much more like her normal self. Up, eating and mooching about.
The bad news is that she is realising that when I catch her she gets a needle in her arse so I don;t think she will be quite as easy to catch as she gets better and stronger!

Thank you for your help and advice, as always it is much appreciated.
