Thank you for that.
And no I wouldn't stay quiet but I would probably find a more appropriate medium to express my feelings on the matter. Slanging matches from behind the safety of a computer screen for the world to see, from my experience, achieve very little in the longrun.

Hi
I am new here but noticed that you have mentioned Abbotsbury Urqhart or Arty. I own his granddad Jasper 28 years young. Arty has had some cracking foals as have most of Jasper's offspring. Temperament is all important when looking at stallions as well as what they produce. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

Nice to meet you all.

Arty was my stud stallion until i had to give up breeding due to illness. I bought him from Wendy Mouser. he did indeed give me some cracking foals, my grandchildren rode him and i also did a bit of driving at home with him just for fun.  The lady who bought him from me has since had him gelded and sold on to be a riding  pony for a disabled child at the age of 16. I have a colt by him who is about to be vetted, Westercushnie Archie, chestut and i have loved him from birth. At 40 ins bigger than his sire but so like him . :horse:

Hi Sabrina

Good to hear about Arty. I did make contact with him before he was gelded and sold for riding. Just visited your site to see some photos as I haven't seen him since he was a young man. I have brought in one of Tempest's sons to start Abbotsbury breeding again. I now co-own the Abbotsbury stud with Gay Davy so I am excited to be getting back to some younger ponies again. Jasper and his lady live the life of luxury in their retirement and watch the youngsters creating havoc from afar! :) Want to track down an Abbotsbury bred mare from either Urquhart or Ubique this year for Daley's first wife so if you know of any...? Daley will be driving to keep him and me entertained!

The only Arty bred mare I know is for sale is Westercushnie Lucky Charm AR1740. She is at the Kuckron Stud on  Shetland . if you go the the Pony Breeders of Shetland web site you will get details. Other than that you could put a wanted add on the Society web site. :)

Thanks for the heads up. I went and had a look a the Kuckron stud website. She is a black mare and to be honest would like a chestnut Abbotsbury bred mare if at all possible.

Shall keep looking. I am heading up to Shetland I hope this year, which is a dream of mine, so I shall have a look at some lovely ponies up there I am sure.

Sorry forgot to log out of my dads account when I wrote that.
I knowshe is black but thetwo foals shehas given birth to haveboth been chestnut from their chestnut stallion, which she is in foal to so the next foal should probably be chestnut aswell.
