Hello from Stewartshill
« on: September 25, 2011, 03:31:05 pm »
Hello to everyone, my name is Ian, and along with my partner Julie, we have a smallholding called Stewartshill, near Abernethy Perthshire. We keep Herdwick sheep, Shetland Ponies, Rare breed rabbits, and Julie is also into rescuing dogs, at the moment we have 12, but have had 27 :dog: It was our intention to re home, but we end up just keeping them ;D We also have some chickens. We feel we should be doing more with our land, so looking to you guys for help and advice. A few more chickens, Badger Faced Sheep, and some fruit trees is on the wish list. Hope to pick your brains soon

Hi Ian

We're in Carnoustie so not so far from you if you want to come for a visit. We're geting ready to plant 100 apple trees plus a few pear, plum and gage. We're not experts by any means but you're welcome to come and see what we're doing.

Hello and welcome from north Cumbria
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
