I am afraid its a glass of wine in the Bath (every night I am always very smelly and muddy from the animals etc) then its pjs on with another glass of wine in front of the telly. Emmerdale, corrie and eastenders.......Sorry boring isnt it!

But not tonight, tonight I am out with girlfriends to very stylish londonesque restaurant , a real treat and excuse to dress up and put the world to rights with my best and closest friends. Ahhh

A few of us are 'playing' at Come Dine with Me and it is dinner party number 2 tonight with a Mardi Gras theme.  I am really looking forward to it.  She has put a huge amount of effort in, the invitation and menu were delivered last Monday night: the doorbell went and when we went to answer it there was a box in the porch, when we opened it a pink foil balloon floated out of a confetti filled box with the invite and menu attached!  The deliverer was gone!!!  Have a nice night whatever you are doing ...

One just never has enough time to get it all done! A Buddhist friend once said to us "It's never going to stop unless you do". What words of wisdom, one of the hardest things, I find.
I'm usually zonked out every night, but my OH is cooking tonight (!) - the bartered ducks into a casserole - , I might watch the Tales from Green Valley dvd I borrowed weeks ago...

On SUnday? Are you a man of the cloth? We are limiting ourselves to wine as we drink far too much whiskey and it seems to be having little effect, so after another strange day we have lit a fire and opened the red wine....again. not much on TV

I love the sound of the come dine with me night! It sounds great fun! going to suggest it when i meet up with friends tonight, can you imagine trying to outdo each other. I know a man who can play the guitar,  he can serenade us whilst we eat!!!!!

My partners cousin came over to visit us from London (he works in Banking in the city) and had a meal with us and said he never gets "normal food" anymore as all his friends have to outdoo each other with things like...Russion flowering pasion peas or sprouting anchovy hearts or maybe wombat stuffed with lychee's and pecan nuts.....see, I can't even think of strange food, my  meals are plain and tasty and VERY fattening, that's why?

Just found loads of Grand Designs and then on Dave, Billy COnnely going all arond Scotland!! I love Billy.

Something else we have in common, then Sandy!  Billy worked in the shipyards with my cousin Jack who is now in Canada.  He kept being reprimanded as he had the workforce is stitches all the time and they were missing their targets!

He is very funny!!! My brother lived in Corby and many settled there from Glasgow in the 70's and so it has a heavy Scottish influence, anyway, my brother was very ill, he went into a coma for a while and I had to travel to help him as he collapsed while on the phone to me 12 miles away and my car had just been taken into the garage for some work, I had a taxi and stayed for a while until he was taken into hospital, I thought I would borrow his car and took it from the drive, I got about a mile up the road and it brokd down, I called breakdown recovery and ended up with the double of Billy COnnaly in a lorry, he even sounded like him!!! My brother is fine now!!! Anyway, see you tomorrow, hope Bruce is better as he is quite poorly!!

While on a hunt for the Mama Mia DVD for the kids to watch after tea I decided to sort out the entire CD & DVD collection in our cupboard ! (Saddo with no social life alert  ) So now having about 100 wrecked discs (father in law collects coupons and brings me EVERY free disc with EVERY newspaper - why? well cos they're free and being a canny Aberdonian he's got to have it if it's free! ) I'm spending my evening coming up with recycling ideas. Got the basics covered, bird scarers, clocks, wall hangings etc but I'll still have a few spare - if anyone has any suggestions (polite ones lol!) feel free.........................................
