newbie in East Mids

hello all, Ben here.

i work on a smallholding within a speical needs school on the outskirts of Burton on Trent.

we have flock of llanwenog ewes, with a dorset and welsh mountain thrown in! outdoor pigs, GOS and Welsh. and too many chickens!

been working on farms since i was about 8 and love working here as i teach the kids about the farm, especially popular at lambing!

think I possibly know where you mean, if you're where I think, is it a company that owns several SEN places around the midlands & wales?!

Hi,  used to live in Leicestshire, last place Woodhouse but my hubby has family and I  have worked in Burton On Trent with special needs on occasion so have an understanding. Great when it works well but I remember the stress when sharpe tools were envolved!!

Welcome...now I am in Central Scotland!!

Hi Ben,

Sounds like you do a grand job, working with special needs clients and animals combined is hardwork I imagine, I hope you find it very rewarding, I take my hat off to you.

I am in West Wales and have a mixteure of Dexter cattle, a few lambs, 5 welsh Pigs, 2 rhea and like you plenty of poultry.
Welcome to this forum im sure you will find it as helpful, interesting and as much fun as I do.
