out of 5 chickens i have two broodies. they arent laying and just sit on the others' eggs. i do kick them off and out to eat and drink but this seems to be going on forever.
is there anything else i can do?

I dunk them in a bucket of water (as long as its a fairly warm day) twice daily and then throw them (not literally) of the nest whenever I find them on it. Breaks the broodyness in a couple of days

are your eggs fertile? If not, great tip, Bioman  ;D if yes, why not let them have a go? Just mark some eggs they are sitting on and take the new ones out each day.
