first chick from broody!
« on: July 16, 2011, 09:27:52 pm »
Well, I went to "encourage" Mrs Light Sussex off her broody nest to eat and drink, as I've been doing every now and again...

She started cursing as soon as I opened the coop lid (she has been really quiet - especially compared to the broody BC Marans who start chuntering at me as soon as I go in the shed, as they know I'm going to shift them off the nest:they've never been with a cockerel!)

then I heard a faint cheeping...
