Very, very funny. There's a cricketing one something along the lines of "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey".

Apparently the commentator who came up with that one had been waiting for ages for the right opportunity to say it, then couldn't stop laughing when he did. It's one of OH's favourites - little boys eh  ;D

I was going to post the "Jonners" one but apparently it's an urban myth. This is the quote from the BBC's own webpage:

"There is some question as to whether one of cricket's classic howlers was ever spoken on air, and who said it. Cricket commentators Don Mosey and Brian Johnston were in the commentating box for the BBC World Service in a test match between West Indies and England at the Oval. Batsman Peter Willey was at the stumps, bowler Michael Holding was at the crease, but did either Mosey or Johnston really say on air: We welcome World Service listeners to the Oval, where the bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey. Let's look at the evidence; neither of them has openly taken the credit for saying it, no recording of the comment has ever been heard, only talked about" Shame.....it's a classic!

did however find this one of Jonners

I remember when we lived in Dorset, local radio news report of an elderly woman having been taken to hospital after being knocked down by a pig who was routing for acorns during the pannage.

"People are advised not to stand on the pigs' nuts."
