Lomond Browns?  Battery hen rescue?

Hi Pete,

I got a couple of hens just before Christmas from a farmer who supplies the auction in Stirling.  Drew Hamilton, MidForrest Farm, Cumbernauld.  Tel 07759374173.  Nice chap he just let us take a look around then choose what we wanted.  He had quite a selection. Any questions please ask.

Thanks
Gillian

What I meant was - why not get ex batts?  Rosemary said they were most likely Lomonds

Not near you Pierre I'm afraid  :-[   I know there's someone in Biggar who sells them, and maybe a bit nearer to you there're suppliers of Black Rocks and other similar Hybrids.  In Doune there's a traditional poultry breeder, but it seems that finding Isa Browns etc is a bit trickier  :-\
