Hi Castlefarm

long time no see....anywhere......hope you're keeping well

We had a fairly rough time lambing for one reason and another thought we'd got it right despite the weather against us and were struck with twin lamb disease....sadly we lost a ewe

following that the girls proceeded to lamb early and not without complications though i have to say out of the original 12 we had only one had a single but we did suffer some losses with the difficulties.
The young tup did his thing and we had a later crop of lambs all to term couple abandoned their offspring but we did ok all things considered brought on 2 orphan girls which have come on in leaps and bounds and are happily on the fields with the rest now.
The original 12 we put to a terminal sire and got mostly twins and a large proportion of girls. The younger girls went to the Lleyn tup and whilst three out of ten didn't take we got 4 girls and two boys

The crosses are fabulous and the first are ready to go to market so we're really happy.
You did well with yours

even tho a lot of boys

Good to hear from you regards to Stuart
