We've got pigs going and will be ready for our summer family get together, and we have decided to have a hog roast.

A) whats the best fuel??

B) would a 60 gallon drum cut in half on legs attatched to motor and chain on low ratio to turn it be ok?? Obviously on legs ect.

Basically idea of 60 gallon metal drum cut in half steel legs, Y frame on each side for spit to sit on and attatch motor to turn???

Any info or advise really apprechiated

If you search "hog roast" you will find many threads here. I'd forget about the motor - if you need to turn it that quickly, it's too hot/close.
Some notes of mine here.
