Bedtime routine ... finally!
« on: June 15, 2011, 11:04:48 pm »
We housed our ducklings in their newly built desres 3 weeks ago (having weaned them off the indoors/heatlamp stage) & kept them in a covered run (sorry buzzards no dinners for you here).
We let them free-run after a week & have had to chase/cajoule/ bribe/herd the little darlings in EVERY night since  ::)

Weyhey - they put themselves to bed tonight, the little angels  :&>

You will have to train turkeys in a few weeks time too. Hope they are all thriving.

Hiya Andrew

All doing fine - much better behaved than the ducklings or any of the chicks we've hatched so far  ???  They are so amusing - not timid at all. Can't get over how much they've grown already.  Hope the weather warms-up enough next month for them to go outside & get some fresh air - they're still basking under the heat lamp 24/7 at the mo.
Really weird -they love sleeping on their (full) feed trays.
