Stolen puppies
« on: June 05, 2011, 03:18:57 pm »
This was a blatant theft of two 6 week old Springer pups - please circulate as far and wide as you can.

Man phoned to view pups then said could not come as wife had broken her ankle. Then re phoned to say not a break but bad sprain so will still come. Arrive ask if can take pups to car as wife cannot get out. Car had been turned around one man in drivers seat - a lady on back seat with car door open- man in photo pushes owner out of way throws pups into car and speeds off. This is an R or S reg green VW passat.

Someone I know insists that she has the type, colour & registration of the car before any one comes to visit her puppies. They also have to agree to have their photo taken as they arrive. I thought this wa a bit over the top but perhaps I will do this, as I have  1 unbooked Springer in my litter. Luckily I have not yet advertised them

ps I have posted to my facebook & sent to friend in that locality who does Collie rescue

Thanks, Rose, I got it on Facebook from a friend, but the more people who post the wider the coverage - that's how some other dogs have been traced and returned to their owners.  There is no longer a hiding place for thieves!

My obedience trainer had her chosen puppy stolen before she even got him. Luckily he was returned for a ransom with no long term effects. Very frightening for the breeder as she could be targetted again
