online at last!
« on: May 16, 2011, 09:49:42 pm »
at last tonight we have been connected to broadband!!! what a long wait ( thats putting it posh ).
i have felt lost and all alone without you guys, my wife has just said now, thats it, ive lost you for the night! oh yes.
im gona change me profile to THE PEAR TREE soon and new pic.
all is good ere, for anyone wondering has there been anything new with regards to goats, there has.
two new goats,
SAGE - 2yr old goat in milk. her mother is a saanen/boar x GG.
father is a pedigree anglio nubian.
sage is beautifull and pleasent and a fantastic first time mum.

we had her kid, a billy who we called billy the kid! he was born 24/4/11.

he is lush, chocolate brown in colour with a black line running down his backbone and black on the knees and lush lond droopy
ears.

both sage and billy have been with us now for nearly over two wks and they have settled in really well, a little bullying
going on but getting less and less.

billy is coming on really well and has had his horns done and is a reall happy healthy little fellow.
we are getting more milk everytime we try with sage but she does worry to much bout her baby, he is still running with her and sleeping with her
as we are waiting to make his own pen when we come back from holidays in two wks. ( funds will be sufficent then ).
i know there was quite some discussion with regarding us going ahead and getting a billy but we believe in this decision and have prepared
ourselves with the husbandry of a billy.
will though be still keeping in touch with you guys, photos will follow soon.
SO SO SO SO glad to be back ere! missed it so much.
 :goat: :chook: :horse:
p.s. grace our little girl now has a pony called jasper who she loves!

Welcome back!!  We have missed you :D

I was offline for months when we moved out of the farm ......it was awful.  Then someone asked why I did not try mobile broadband (not sure why I did not think of it myself!) and here I am!!

You will have plenty of milk once you take the kid away - then you can monitor what he drinks .....they are greedy little so and so's (well the ones I have are!!)

Hey, Langdon - good to have you back!  Looking forward to seeing photos!  You'll have a lot of catching up to do, your wife won't see you for a fortnight, let alone just tonight! ;)
