Hi Emma, that's great news!! I think Welsummers males look spectacular.
Like i said, i'm in the middle of renewing the coop and run following on from a very bad fox problem towards the end of the Summer. I made some immediate changes that, not pretty to the eye, have solved the problem, but now i need to make it look pleasing on the eye.... hence the new coop and new fencing. I hope to have it done by this coming weekend, time and weather prevailing!?!?! So i could arrange collection from you possibly Sunday next week (Feb 1st) assuming that suits and I am ready in time, or alternatively I could collect the weekend after? With nights being short and by the time I've finished work it may not be a good idea to introduce the newly-weds in the dark, hence weekend collection!!
In any case, let me now what suits. I have yet to hatch any eggs of my own, other than two Khaki Campbell ducks I hatched in my incubator in 2005..... sadly both stolen by the fox!

But i'd be happy to give it a try!
I have found Welsummers very hard to track down around this neck of the woods. I got my last batch of hens in 2004 from near Bridge of Cally via ScotAds, but though i've kept an eye out for more, i've not come across any until now!
I shall PM you my phone number. Feel free to pass your on!
I'll happily provide you with a few bottles of wine (red or white- choice is your's!) in exchange for the cockerel, or alternatively hard cash! Also, i have access to fresh Rainbow Trout if you would like some!
Let me know,
Many thanks,
John.
