I just got planning - yippee
« on: April 23, 2011, 02:25:25 pm »
I just got the letter to say I can build a tractor shed - yippee!!!

God its a relief, its actually going to have locks and everything on - at last a shed thats going to be dedicated for mechanics rather than half full of straw and hay and other feed products, s**t everywhere and the odd animal when needed.

I cant wait!!! Excellent!!

Seems strange to share the news - but there is no-one else here but you peeps.

Congrats! Now fill it with half finished restorations and have bits all over your yard. You shouldnt need permission for a thing as necessary. Oh how I hate booricrats.....

Good stuff.

I'm sure it won't be long before it's half full of straw and hay and other feed products, s**t everywhere and the odd animal when needed.

:D :D That's just what I was thinking  :D :D   I'm waiting for my wool palace to go up - got permission and everything but actually getting it built is taking soo long - winter got in the way, then sorting the polytunnel, then lambing, then.......I just want to get weaving in there  ;D  Good luck with yours  8) :)

Well done Baz
When we applied to build a new shed we had to write an essay for the local planning officer on "Why we needed a shed"!!! They wanted it on the opposite side of the farm to where we wanted it and we had to lower the roof pitch. Its half done now will try to post a picture when get chance.

Congratulations on the tractor shed permission.   :)

Fleecewife my friend spins and weaves, she has decided that it will be quicker to move house than to wait for the erection of her work room.   :D

It was only by luck that I saw the independent planner taking pictures and doing his agri assessment and had a good chin wag.

He was initially told that there was not enough agri going on by the planners - I was quite annoyed!!

Lucky I had 19 store lambs in one shed, a few lambing in the other shed and the mollies in another one so they were all crammed full.  I also explained that the farm had been split at some point with the tractor shed and hay barn going to a neighbour - vital buildings that were needed in yesteryear and re so now with modern equipment.

I cant wait to have my own little shed - even if as its been said it will eventually fill with s**t :)

My barn / workshop is a wife, daughter and grand daughter free zone. Baz, enjoy and fill it to the roof with whatever pleases you. A blokes shed is his business and his alone......

 ;D

My misses cant keep a key on her for more than 20 minutes without losing it somewhere, so when the locks are on it - its mine.  Certainly no ponies going in it!! The only horsepower going in there is  real oil powered horsepower.

Going to get me a big radio and glue it on radio 2 - am also dreaming of making stashes of homebrew - a shed my grandad would be proud of if he was still around :)

Good lad, I bought a ghetto blaster and play all the outlawed music I love at full pelt and I have a stove that doubles as a forge. Kettle and tea caddy and an old armchair. I splashed out on a roller door last year cos I am old. My mate comes round and we weld, bang and hammer in a laddish way, swear like troopers and slag everybody off.
By God its grand in there!  :farmer: :farmer:
