Top Soil - wanted
« on: April 04, 2011, 04:43:56 pm »
Anyone on the PA10 area got a ton or 2 of topsoil spare?

Coz I'm "in between jobs" at the moment, I've been busier than usual setting seeds & my OH has had to build me a new raised bed  ;D  probs is that I only had enough home-made compost for my other beds & as it was our pigs 1st winter here the poo is not rotted down enough - though looking forward to getting some gourds on it later  :yum:

Hi Beewyched.  I can contribute some well-rotted sheep manure if you have room for a couple of sacks full (and the comfrey you are still waiting for which you can dig up yourself now at the weekend  :)).  Choose your topsoil carefully - we were given some which contained all sorts of horrible weeds including the ground elder we are now plagued with.  You might be able to get some from builders clearing a site if you have a trailer.
