Hi from Somerset
« on: March 29, 2011, 09:54:29 pm »
Hello everyone;
thought it rude to post (on Montacute land topic) and not say 'hi',so 'Hi!'

I'm not a smallholder though was brought up in Malta, Dorset and Somerset looking after calves, chickens, pigs and horses.Have been a gardener for years, though after last child I hav'nt gone back to it yet...have 2 dogs and 4 children (3 grown up now - yay!) no horses at the moment...My garden's too small to do much growing so i'm on the look out for some land nearby.I have a passion for trees, growing, animals and wasting nothing. I (try to) make everything and anything to my husband's amusement. Have just finished a deck made from pallets (lots of hurt fingers and a week of swearing at wood, but it's nearly done !
Nice to have found you all x

And a hoots mon from the Scottish Borders - and as I said to someone last week, 'women who wear rigger boots and have no finger nails never ever iron clothes' - nice to know there are someones out there who like fiddling around with bits of wood.  Welcome.
