What to grow
« on: March 29, 2011, 01:28:43 pm »
I have a space along the west fenceline that is completely empty at the moment. The ground has been used for years to dump the grass cuttings which rotted down, so it should be very enriched. However it is in the shade of a large tree from midday onwards. Its probably 2-3m by 1.5.

I was hoping to put some sort of veg here but its probably too shady, so any idea of plants that would grow? I did ponder just chucking  (technical term) down a variety of seeds and see if I could grow a wild flower area for bees etc. But again, I think it may bee too shady.

Suggestions please?

Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
