everyone tells me to send it to a tannery - I just want to be able to say that I've done it, even if it's only once! :sheep:

I know that feeling mrsJ... I went to help out with lambing once JUST to say I had done it...

27 years later and 54 lambings later........

I once did a moleskin for flytying for the same reason... ALMOST a divorce case.....

I want to try lambing.  So far, we have bought in our lambs with the ewes and then sold back the ewes when the little ones were weaned, but the group is toying with the idea of a permanent flock.  Did you go on a course hexhammeasure?

No I dated the farmers daughter... Now she is my boss. Although i will say i was extremely fortunate in learning with two of the most practical and caring shepherds  i've ever met. the mix of small flock and large flock lambings has enabled me to see more situations than if i'd just been at either one.
