Hi from Norfolk, it's lambing time again!
« on: March 23, 2011, 08:58:04 pm »
Hi all.
Lambing time again, we have a few random breeds of sheep, and a couple of Balwens, we have had 2 lambs so far, from 2 ewes, both lambs female and very strong.
One is a Wiltshire cross and we have our very first Balwen lamb too, so tiny.. the Balwen ewe is a super mum, she has loads of milk and is very protective over her young one, even to the point that she has tried to bit me 3 or 4 times.
Wiltshire ewe was a first time mum and did not have much milk so I have been topping the lamb up, but a week on the ewe now has plenty of milk.
Good luck to all those lambing.

Hi from t'North!

Yep, we're lambing too.  Lambs just getting to the stage where they form gangs and have mad races.  Never ever get tired of watching them!

We are so jealous of you all.  We are hoping to get our own little flock of Rare's this year.  Can't wait.

Welcome from Brittany we only have pigs.  No sheep.  Land is too wet.
