I've had a lovely day pottering about outside. Cleaned out the runner ducks, and one of the hen houses. Fixed the perches in that henhouse, and put in a nest box. Did a little repair to their gate to block a gap where the wee ones had decided to start squeezing through. Repaired the pop hole on another hen house, and put a net over the top of their (6ft high!) run, as they were still managing to escape over the top. Hamburgs are such  escape artists. Had to go out and get more shavings as I ran out. Moved a paving slab into a chicken run to stand their hopper on. Moved the rabbit and guinea pig's run onto a fresh patch. Shifted some feeding and kept checking the goat, but she's not kidding yet.

pretending to work from home... naughty me but i'm just finishing a contract and there's nothing for me to do! Normally I work very hard when I work from home but the last few weeks theres just not much left to do. Still start a new role next Monday so no more working from home.. shame as it's allowed me to be here to feed horses, pigs and shut up hens at night..over to OH from next week.

Today I am tearing my hair out, have had a new kitchen fitted, it's minus 2 doors has 2 damaged units and the dishwasher doesn't work. Phoned
magnet this morning to be told that it should be fixed by Friday if ! they can get hold of the correct doors. So as you can imagine I am seriously P****d off. They demand there money up front then you have nothing to hold over them so they don't care, they left the place covered in dust and finger marks and did not bother to fit the little caps in the unused shelf holes, my sink leaked too. I need a large drink its just a pity that I am allergic to alchohol.

Yes Sandy and I would recommend any one who can afford to save up for one to have one its lovely some of the flowers in the greenhouses I have videoed in Lady Yarborough's Walled Garden are larger than life Kath particularly likes some Peruvian Daffodils I like me tractors and combines Can go back to 2000 in the garden and on the Estate.I can go back to ploughing matches and Country Fairs mostly in Lincolnshire I also have quite a few DVD's of Steam Engines 2 or 3 of scrap to being brand new in overhaul and repainted finish Even my self with a 30 TD in as many bits as it will breakdown into  All passes a dark night away when some one comes Often its Show us the Video of Sage decorating the church for the Harvest Festival or Tom splitting hosters Its often better watching than the repeated repeat of a repeated repeat program on TV  ;D  :farmer:

Thanks Wizard, I remembered your post when I was in  a shop the other day after 2 new sofas, We had bought 2 cheapish ones and they had broken twice within 8 months. The company we bought them from (next) were very good and collected them and refunded my money, so I thought we would splash out and try to get some that should last 20 yrs.............. off to sofa workshop then. The sofas we loved were originally £2600 each!!!!  :o :o :o
down in the sale to £1600 each , still a huge amount but they should last the 20 yrs we wanted them too. Ok off to order them.
Yes we needed to pay up front and they couldnt give us a delivery date but would let us know when they were ready  :o
Wellllllllll Wizard, what can I say your post put me in good stead and I refused! ( The reason was to be fair was the sofas were hand built to order so to be honest fair enough but why take my money surely a deposit would have been enough!!!)
I went home and looked online for the same sofas only to find the exact same sofas on Ebay (only 3 months old and immaculate) for £700 for the pair......... can you believe it??? The owners were downsizing and the sofas would not fit into their new house.. is that Fate or what?

So anyway, juliag, what are you doing today?  ;D

I'm just in from feeding the outside horses, the colt in the stable, and the fowl. After I've dropped the eldest bairn at the road end for the school bus, I'm off to work to see what needs done there. I have a mare in training, so will longrein her, then I have a horse with loading issues to work with for a client, if the snow permits. I've another three similar jobs over the weekend, but they are inside so weather doesn't matter.

Yesterday's snow turned to rain overnight, and the temperature has risen to 2 degrees this morning, so it's just wet and, with a sour easterly off the sea, miserable. The wet cold is the worst, isn't it. All the time that snow was on the ground, and the frost bit, I hardly felt the cold, but now......

Seems there's a lot more snow to come across Scotland today and tomorrow.

Juliag hello I'm so pleased my nasty obnoxious ignorant manner worked when you went to buy don't be kind to the sales person they want your money no need to be rude just FIRM and it worked for you As you found out theirs wasn't the only pair. There is a saying that one of our wags on here will complete for us It starts Nil illigitimy desperandun Carborundum. If some one completes it I don't think it needs a lot of translating If I set you off with Don't let the Bast***'s in desperation grind you down So long as you have the money you win every time without of course its a one of hand made article you desperately want Good luck If you go to buy a new car it really is surprising how far they will go especially if you say I will pay with folding stuff none of these plastic and cheques I'll have to get the manager ah bluddi ah ;D ;D :farmer:
