I know I'm being a bit cheeky but, could we bring our own  pig to butcher?

We've been waiting for over a year for Askham Bryan College to run another pig-butchery course and presume it's not going to happen.

I love the sound of this course - will you be running them regularly?  We'll be busy lambing until mid-May...

i cant see why not, but do you have the facilities to keep the pig cold? it must also have been killed at a licenced slaughterhouse and be stamped...my only concern with you bringing your own is cross contamination...but i will look in to it

sally hopefully, this is our 1st course of this type...if it is successful then yes we will book another

Great Course!
We had a wonderful day and learned so much more than just Butchery. We also met some lovely people.
We have come away confident that we can now do our own pigs justice when the time comes.

A great big thank you to the Organisers - it has been so difficult to find a Butchery Course in our area and this one was well worth it.
And a big thank you to your Butcher who is an excellent teacher, and a lovely lady.

Glad it went well - please put me down for the next one!  (Provided it's not a hay-day...)
