I would have a grow your own friends kit.

Then I would have a bunch of happy, energetic fun loving chums who would always be willing to help with things like fencing in exchange for lots of lovely food and drink. They would always be passing by and popping in and would cheer me up so I wouldn't feel isolated and a bit lost living in a new area.

When I had doubts or felt a bit out faced by all that I've taken on they would bolster me up and convince me that I havent made a huge and very expensive mistake and that working full time, renovating a property, managing 7 acres and facing redundancy is not completly insane.

I seem to recall the joker...or was it Penguin having something similar in the Batman episodes. They were little tubes of powder and when poured into a little pile each one transformed into a baddie in a striped jumper . Ideally I would'nt want my instant friends to be baddies but at the moment if they were good at heavy lifting and popped round for a chat with a bottle of rose I think I could live with it
