Mini heston hay how much?
« on: March 09, 2011, 10:39:58 pm »
I have about 5 mini Heston sized hay bales that I may sell but have no idea how much I should charge. It's last years hay nice hay too. What are folks paying for this size per bale? Cheers

What do you mean by mini heston? I pay atm 5 pounds per "small" bale (the ones that I can only just lift, and preferably get OH to collect and stack). That is the going rate in the Borders, and about 50 quid for a large round one.

Depends a lot on where you are. You could see if you can sell them to a local hay merchant. At this time of year you should get a good price and he will know what the current market rate is.
