Weed identification
« on: March 07, 2011, 02:26:00 pm »
Just found this really useful website on weed identification.

http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/weedlf.htm#low

Very good pictures and each one has a link to a more detailed monograph on the plant.

I discover now that I am overrun with creeping buttercup........ :-(

Great link, thank you.

I'm not good at plants!  Creeping buttercup sounds far to pretty to be a weed  :)

These pages are intentional to officer in the finding of popular band and weed seedlings launch throughout Town and the Southeasterly U.S. The weed pictures in this orientate are laid alphabetically by unwashed traducement and may be viewed by clicking on one of the letters to  the tract.
What does this mean in English?  ??? ???   That website is a British one ??? ???

very useful site although not all are weeds in my eyes, some are wild herbs and some are wild veg and salads  :yum:

still, this is one of these links I would love to have a copy in a reference section - as eventually I will forget where it was and of course will need it then! like the one with the chicken poo pictures  ;D. Can  I not convince you, Dan ? :&>

I've got to rather like weeding creeping buttercup.

It's satisfying to pull it out by the roots and this next lot seem to be a little weaker than the first lot.

Actually - I think I find all weeding quite satisfying but I have to gear myself up to "do a session" on it.

I look on weeding as being a bit like ironing.  It's a chore and you won't die if it doesn't get done, but it looks better if you've done it!
