There's an old story about our present Queen's coronation, I think, where the Queen of Tonga - a massive woman - was accompanied by a very small gentleman. One of the commentators asked the other who he was, and was told "lunch".  ;D You wouldn't get away with that today, would you?

I am fond of our royals and wish young William and his bride all happiness but, to be honest I'ld rather have a good funeral than a wedding, at least you know it's going to last----------and the hymns are generally better!

I must admit I was glued to the News channel the day poor Diana died.

With companies going bust all around, including a number of my ex-clients, and many people loosing their jobs, my employees think I’m good just keeping them in a job!
Welcome to the real world!!!!

I pay salaries so bank holidays dont mean a jot when it comes to employment.

As for the royal wedding, I cant exactly say I'll be partying.

Personally I'd have never wanted to be born into a royal family, so good luck to them.

The royals are a fecking circus, same as celebrity culture.

I think there's quite a few NHS hospitals not paying double bubble for bank holiday wages. I can remember as a young nurse I'd have had the hump about that. As an employer though with the country in a financial dip, we could all do without paying out excess for someone elses wedding day!
ANyway, they never showed up at mine so I'm not showing up at theirs  ;)

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit - and such cynicism in one so young is disturbing  ;D

No Sarcasm meant, just that I cant think of anything worse than spending a day watching it on TV, I remember the last royal wedding - my parents actually recorded it so they could watch it over again ....

The build up on TV will be unbearable and so dull, the day itself will be taken over by it, and the weeks after will disect every tiny detail.

Personally I think there are far more important and newsworthy things going on around the world and in this country at the moment.

In my view the French got it right back in 1789 !
