Like JulieS i'm a royal family supporter, wish everyone would get of their case, they bring a lot of money into this country via tourism and trade links especially with the middle east.

I'm a Royalist too - mainly because the alternative is another grubby politician as head of state, and we already have enough grubby, grabby, greedy, self serving politicians.

If you don't like the Royal family - think President Blair.

rosemary i don't see your logic     the politicians are under the queen as head of state          taxes are collected on behalf of the queen
and if (god forbid)we were to have el presidente Blair the only good thing would be the revolution that should follow
taxes take fuel cost 38p per litre the rest in tax          banks we bailed the greedy forkers out can we borrow no chance but they still have there big bonuses  it should be the bus fare to boness        WANTED SOAPBOX

nothing against the Royals but I won't be wasting any time over a wedding, I shall be out in the fields all day, avoiding it at all costs.  This is'nt the 1950's anymore when Britain was Great Britain, this country lost its identity a long while back, way before I was born sadly.

As an employer, I think the government’s introduction of an extra Bank holiday, just to celebrate the wedding of an un-elected parasite’s wedding, at the unwanted extra cost to British industry, is outrageous.
I have told my staff that I do not recognise it and that we shall be working as normal!

Yes, I was a bit peeved to find that an extra bank holiday doesn't necessarily mean a free day off for everyone :(
It depends on your contract (if you have one - which I don't) and whether your employer is a happy chappy or a miserable git! :(

I shan't bother to watch. Royal Weddings are almost as bad as the Olympics. The build-up is about the same.
