Anyone doing anything nice for the Royal Wedding?
« on: February 20, 2011, 09:08:26 pm »
My ma-in-law and I will be watching it with a bottle of champers and a box of tissues - I ALWAYS cry at weddings. I'd really like to have a street party here but don't have time to organise it.

I could not give a damn about it and am already fed up of hearing about it.

We will be having a lovely day working outside with our animals and veggies, as far from the telly as possible - not a royalist  :o

Will be avoiding it too I'm afraid.  I remember being in Majorca aged 8 for Diana and Charles wedding and we all crowded into a big hall to watch, its a lovely memory but I won't be watching this one.

I'll be watching as much as I can.

Had a party at home for Charles and Diana, then for Andrew and Fergie my friend and I went up to London and slept on the pavement outside Buckingham Palace the night before.  What a fantastic atmosphere.

I was living in Windsor when Charles and Camilla were married and of course Edward and Sophie so managed to be there then too.

We are taking a short trip to Glasgow then so I may catch some of it in a pub or wherever, but hubby is not fussed so I may not ;)

I was working on a farm in Northumberland. We rushed around to get all the chores done then all sat down with bubbly to watch the wedding. It was a lovely day as I recall. Afternoon chores got done in a haze  ;D Very happy memories of that.

Like JulieS i'm a royal family supporter, wish everyone would get of their case, they bring a lot of money into this country via tourism and trade links especially with the middle east.
I for one will be watching as much as i can and raising a glass to the happy couple and wishing them all the best.
So Cheers
Mandy
