anyone know who our nearest rescue organisation would be keen to get another 5 asap. 

we got our last lot from buckinghamshire before we relocated in 2009 when our girls all came too!  we've lost a few over the years and are keen to get a few more.

Check out the 'Rehome some hens' section in the British Hen Welfare Trust site. If I remember correctly, I think that's where their head office is too (i.e Devon)????

one of the first hen rehoming places actually started in north devon i believe, type it in on google and no doubt you will find several!!

we are hoping to get some more girls on 19th Feb which is the next collection date.  will keep you all posted

5 new girls arrived this weekend safe  in a stable while they find their feet before being put in with the rest of the flock  - already laying!!!

just to update everyone who looked all the girls are together now with freddie!!!  all happy and doing what chooks do in the warm devon sunshine we've had this week!!
