Hello and welcome,    seems like everthing is gettiing too difficult to make a living out of, still, you have a good start to your new venture, lifes too short to get stuck in the mud (smallholders natural state) I just keep a B&B and some Chickens for thier eggs (few now) and a pair of DUcks, just have Labs as pets so thats IT!!!! ;)

Hi, welcome to the best and most helpful forum  ;D

We bought our 4 acre smallholding in 2007, but didn't move here (Cornwall) until mid 2009 -  we did too many miles on the A303/A30 getting bits and pieces sorted, and finishing stuff up in the smoke.
Last year we broke ground for our cottage in Jan, poured foundations in Feb and moved into our cottage at end Oct  ;D ;D ;D Also last year we had 4 pigs  :pig: :pig: :pig: :pig: (now very tasty and in the freezer), while this year our building project is the polytunnel.... the frame is now up but we need a calm day to put the polythene on (could be a loooooooong wait..) ;) Oh yes and we pick up 3 new weaners on Sunday  ;D ;D :pig: :pig: :pig:
Hope all goes well with your renovation etc etc

Tish

Oh yes, am I being very thick if I don't know what ACF stands for????

Thanks again to all the people who have posted on here and wished us well in our new venture.
Will certainly be back on here sooner rather than later. :) :) :)
