Had a great day & want to share the joy !
« on: January 28, 2011, 05:21:26 pm »
Well, my day has gotten better and better as time's gone on (which makes a change ::))
Started by hearing from Nissan to let me know my car's NOT going to be delayed, in fact they're going to bump it up the list a wee bit because I wrote them such a nice letter. 10 OUT OF 10 FOR NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE - FANTASTIC GUYS  :-* :-* :-*
Then I spent a lovely day with Lillian & Robert and the 'squad' - lots of laughing and yapping (in between crying babies) Got myself a quad for a bargain price  ;) AND managed to transport it home without incident (which is unusual for me :o)
Happy days, and a VERY happy hippy tonight  ;D
Hope everyone else is having a good day too

I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean Faith (but it's been a very busy day and my head's not working ;)) If you mean when will I drive it - probably be Monday once the kids are at school - don't want an audience when/if I fall off !
I'll get photo's up soon - it's not a brand spanky new one, it's a bit older and well used (just like me ;D) and very mucky. So once I've had a chance to wash it (yeah right ::)) I'll take some photo's. It's a Honda 350 4WD, so it'll just be prefect for me and what I need it for ;D.

Lillian, if you read this.......
We cooked up 3 packs of sausages for tea OMFG !  ;D  ;D There wasn't even a teeny tiny bit left for the dog ;D We all LOVE them ! And there's NO WAY I'd even attempt to compete with you on the sausage making front - they were perfection in a sausage skin ;)  :yum:

Here's some pics of one.  http://www.quadvertiser.co.uk/en/for-sale/Honda/Quad/details/170592349442/Honda+fourtrax+350+4wd+quad.htm

You'll have great fun on that, Karen - does it come with or can you get any implements - like rollers, trailers etc?
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

when i first made sausages they were crap, it's only through the passage of time one does tend to get better. you will get there remember rome was not built in a day. glad you enjoyed them, what did you think about the specials or have you not had them yet? what is you opinion on them? Glad your o/h is pleased with the bike. For me there did not seem to be enough time to talk about everything that need to be talked about today but will catch up at Lanark

ps, your cakes were brill thanks

Mmmmmm the specials  :yum: The flavour was just incredible !We had to break out the very special Jack Daniels just to have a wee nip with them  ;) They were great ! Kids not too keen on them - just as well  ;D But the apple ones went down a storm with the under 18's  :yum: ;D ;D ;D I'm just wondering all what I can put in mine now lol!

Bruce is over the moon with the quad (even though it's supposed to be for me ::)) I'm chuffed too, and once I've got the hang of not falling off (not that I have - just thinking of the worst case scenario) there'll be no stopping me ;D Having a quick way to cover all 100+ acres while carrying stuff means that I'm now able to expand where the pigs live (and the numbers of them I keep  ;) ;D) But shhhh, don't tell Bruce  :pig: :pig: :pig: ::) :pig: :pig: ;D

The kids do tend to put me off slightly when trying to hold a conversation  ::) ;D and there's the whole going off on a tanget thing - which I love ;D, but it means you don't always get everything covered lol! We could probably talk for a fortnight and still not run out of things to say  ;) ;D

Glad you enjoyed the muffins - if you make them, don't forget the 'special' ingredient ;)
See you Thursday
