Triplets, fantastic!!  They look gorgeous too.   How many more to lamb for this session? You must have a good percentage.   :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:

Well done you (and ewe) 150% lambing average, or is that 300% maths was never my strong point.

If any of them are girls the genetics go on.  My first ewe that tripled had two girls which I kept and both had triplets!

All the best
Sue

so far twins and now triplets and all boys !!!! I have another 8 to lamb in this batch and then another 13 for the beginning of april.  I am really enjoying it, tomorrow we will let the first ewe out in the field for the day only, we have built a wind break / shelter for them to have some cover I will take my camera so will have some decent photos, my phone isnt that good for photos as you can see !!

Are you going to leave all three on the ewe to rear?

I don't like triplets... I prefer to take one off the ewe, and that means lots of bottle feeding and is expensive. Hopefully this year I have enough goatsmilk to keep any "spare" ones, but all that bottlewashing....(for the goat kids too...)

Actually the ewe has a large udder and is very milky, if I am lucky to get a single from another ewe very soon, I can take one of the triplets and see if I can get her to odopt it after smothering in amniotic fluid. We will see, once bottle fed they get very humanised and im not too keen on that, more like a pet.
